About Trine Green and Stutteri Just JK
My name is Trine Green, and I was born in 1974. I have two daughters, Anna and Ida, born in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Since they were little, I have shared my passion for horses with them.
I am a trained nurse and work in Aabenraa in southern Jutland. I love my work as a nurse, but horses are a big part of my life outside of work. Horses have always been my greatest passion. I started riding at the age of 10 and have grown up surrounded by horses. Both of my uncles owned riding schools, and together with my cousins, I spent countless hours with horses and ponies.
At the age of 14, I got my first pony, Duchesse. She was a talented jumping pony, and together we competed in many events, reaching up to 120 cm classes before she sadly passed away. After Duchesse, I got the horse Helios, whose bloodline was primarily dressage-focused. However, he was an amazing jumper, and together we competed in 130 cm classes. Sadly, I also lost Helios, and after saying goodbye to two beloved horses, it was hard to return to competitions.
But I know that horses are part of my DNA. I don't feel complete without them. Since having children, I haven't competed much, but instead, I have shared my passion with my daughters.
Stutteri Just JK – A Passion That Became Reality
Stutteri Just JK wasn't a lifelong dream—it simply happened. In 2017, I moved to southern Jutland, where I met Jens Kvist. When you meet someone who shares your passion, everything just falls into place. Jens and I shared a deep love for horses, but unfortunately, he became ill with cancer and passed away in 2021. Our time together was short, but Jens had an enormous impact on me, and his influence will forever have a special place in my heart.
I decided to continue his invaluable breeding work as a tribute to him and our shared passion. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to live on a farm with my good friend and business partner, Lorents Christian Asmussen, whom I met through Jens. Here, I have direct access to both stables and fields, where I can care for my horses. This has become the foundation for Stutteri Just JK.
With the right people around me and dedicated work, Stutteri Just JK has grown into what it is today. I am forever grateful to Jens Kvist for showing me the way and giving me the courage to follow my passion. I am incredibly proud of what we've accomplished, and I look forward to the journey ahead.
