❤️ A Friendship That Left a Lasting Impression
My friendship with Jens Kvist was sadly far too short. I met him in 2017 – quite naturally through his work as a veterinarian, because when you have horses, getting to know a vet is almost inevitable.
We connected from the very beginning. Jens was a wonderful person – both professionally and personally. We shared many happy and memorable moments together, both with and without horses.
🩰 Car Journeys Filled with Wonderful Conversations
One winter, Jens even introduced me to ballet.
For several months, we spent an hour every Monday driving to ballet classes in Billund. Those journeys became the setting for countless wonderful conversations – about life, horses, and everything in between.
🌱 From Words to Action – Just Do It
One of the most valuable lessons Jens taught me was that there doesn't have to be a long journey from thought to action: "Just do it".
Inspired by this philosophy, I ended up buying two of his mares.
During one of our many journeys to Billund, I promised Jens that I would do my very best to carry on his exceptional breeding work when the day came that he was no longer with us.
❤️ A Promise That Lives On
Jens passed away in August 2021 after a short battle with cancer.
Today, I care for his mares and remain close to some of the incredibly passionate people I came to know through Jens.
Their help and support make it possible for me to keep his vision alive, and I am deeply grateful to have them by my side.
We all miss Jens – not only as a truly exceptional veterinarian, but also as a dear friend.
In this way, Jens lives on through Stutteri Just JK.
🌟 A Name with a Special Meaning
The name says it all: Just stands for "Just do it", and JK stands for Jens Kvist.
All our offspring carry the name JK in honour of Jens and the legacy we are so proud to continue.
