The story about Stutteri Just JK

My friendship with Jens Kvist was, unfortunately, far too short. I met him in 2017—naturally through his work as a veterinarian, because when you have horses, you inevitably get to know a vet. From the very start, the chemistry was right. Jens was an amazing person—both professionally and personally. We shared many fun and memorable moments together, with and without the horses.
One winter, Jens even introduced me to ballet. For months, we spent an hour every Monday driving to ballet training in Billund. Those car rides became the setting for countless great conversations—about life, horses, and everything in between.
One of the greatest lessons Jens taught me was that there doesn't have to be a long distance between thought and action: "Just do it." Inspired by that mindset, I ended up buying two of his mares. On one of our many trips to Billund, I promised Jens that I would carry on his remarkable breeding work in the best possible way when he was no longer here.
Jens passed away in August 2021 after a short illness caused by cancer.
Today, beyond caring for his mares, I remain closely connected to some of the incredibly passionate people I met through Jens. Their help and support allow me to keep his vision alive, and I am deeply grateful to have them by my side.
We all miss Jens—not just as an extraordinary veterinarian, but as a dear friend. But in this way, Jens lives on through Stutteri Just JK.
The name says it all: Just for "Just do it", and JK for Jens Kvist. All our offspring carry the suffix Just JK in honor of Jens and the legacy we proudly carry forward.
